A Story from Mrs. Walker

Alexis was always so happy and bright. The most important thing she
taught me is that life is short and you have to live every day to the
fullest. Alexis always had a smile that brightened up the room. I still
find it hard to believe that she’s gone, but I know that she’s not really
gone.

I have a TV in my room and just after she passed, it started coming
on all by itself. I know it sounds CRAZY, but I truly think that it could
be her. It helps a lot to think that she’s always with me and I feel
blessed to have known her even for such a short amount of time.

She always had a way of making Biology fun and interesting. I remember the
first day I met her. She came to my table in Biology and introduced
herself. I’ll never forget her smile, and I swear that I never saw her in
the same outfit or with the same purse. One of the things that I miss the
most about her and that I’ll never forget is her accent. That’s one of
the many things that always made me laugh.

I think about her everyday and I will never forget her. But like I said,
she’s not really gone, she’s right here with us. Every cool breeze, every
time it rains and then suddenly it stops and the sun comes out, whenever
you’re having a bad day and then you suddenly get the feeling that
everything is going to be fine, that’s her telling us that she’s there
and she always will be.
