The death of a child is a devastating experience for a family, regardless of their child’s age or cause of death. When a child dies, where does a family turn to for the emotional support they will need as they grieve? The Compassionate Friends of Bay County (TCF of Bay County), a self-help support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child, grandchild or sibling from any cause, at any age. We anticipate the cost for the memorial garden to be $50,000. Plans for the garden include a 5 ft. bronze statue (Heartbroken), a 6 ft. Angel of Hope, granite book of names (bronze name plates with a cameo photo will be offered), lighting, pavers, benches, trees, shrubs and flowers; as well as all the other costs to build the 55’x90′ memorial garden.
